Mass of the Christian burial for Irene M. Hobart will be at, 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 1999, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake City.

Mrs. Hobart, 87, died Monday, May 31, at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City.

Burial will be in St. Mary Parish Cemetery at Lake City. Father Dennis Sefcik will preside at the services. Visitation began at 3 p.m. today, Tuesday, June 1, at Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City. The parish will recite rosary at 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Born Dec. 26, 1911, in Breda, she was a daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Koster) Grabner. She married Edwin Hobart on Sept. 11, 1940, in Breda. She was a private-duty nurse before she married and then a homemaker. She had lived in Lake City since 1940.

She was a member of the St. Theresa Sodality, the Stewart Memorial Community Hospital Auxiliary and several bridge clubs, and she was a past member of the Stewart Memorial Community Hospital board of directors.

Mrs. Hobart is survived by a daughter, Joan Hobart, of Omaha, Neb; two grandchildren, Christopher Eichhorn and his wife, Erin, of Williamsburg, Iowa, and Jonathan Eichhorn of North Kansas City, Mo; one great-granddaughter, Katherine Paige Eichhorn; and two sisters, Myrtle Boes of Breda and Mary Ann Stork of Carroll.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin; a daughter, Carol Eichhorn; a grandson, Jeffrey Eichhorn; and a brother Joseph Grabner.3
